Finding zombie facts is the easy part. This is the scoreboard for getting them fixed: every case we open, every note we send and every fix, counted from the same files the rest of the site runs on. It updates every day. Tracking began Nov 5, 2026.
No fixes yet on cases where we told editors. The first notes went up Nov 5, 2026; editors usually take days to weeks.
Cases nobody has told editors about yet. If notes work, the top bar beats this one.
A case is fixed when the retracted source is removed or Wikipedia marks it as retracted. The daily check closes cases on its own, so these numbers don't depend on anyone's say-so.
When a story repeats a retracted or debunked claim, we ask the outlet to correct it and log the answer. Fixed, declined or no reply, it goes on the record.
No outlet has been asked for a correction yet. The first request is drafted and waiting for a final read. Each outlet shows up here with how many cases, how many were fixed and how fast.
Raw data: data.json, outreach.json, news.json. New fixes and cases also go out on the feed. Numbers as of 2026-11-06 17:02 UTC.
